The other day I made a garlic spread for garlic toast, bad usual I made more than I needed. What usually happens is I put the extra in the fridge and after a couple of weeks more wife throws it out. Since today I was looking for something different for lunch I decided to use the garlic spread. Had a bunch of different ideas on what I could use it for. Ended up with the garlic toast grilled cheese. It seemed like a perfect idea since I like grilled cheese sandwiches and garlic toast. Really simple actually just use the spread instead of just butter on the bread. Definitely going to make it again when I have leftover garlic spread. It made a great lunch and was different enough to be fun. The garlic spread is something I have been making for years now and is really easy and will last about 3 weeks in the fridge.
2 tablespoons room temperature butter
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Put everything in a small bowl and mash together with a fork. The pepper not only tastes good it lets you see that everything is mixed properly. Use for garlic toast and for garlic bread.
