Hamburger hash is something we have for supper something when we have to go watch one of our grandkids sports games. It’s quick and simple and only 1 frying pan to clean. The way I look at hamburger hash is through in what I have in the fridge. Rarely is it an actual recipe, have recipes but can’t remember the last time I used one. I just pull out what I have in the fridge and toss it all together. Sometimes I use potatoes sometimes pasta. When I made this one I used a dry soup mix with pasta in it
1 pound hamburger
1 onion chopped
2 ribs celery chopped
1/2 cup diced red pepper
15 cherry tomatoes cut in half
3 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon thyme
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 package Lipton beef noodle soup
2 cups water
1/2 tablespoon olive oil
Brown hamburger and set aside to drain fat. Add olive oil to frying pan on medium heat. Add onion, celery, red pepper, garlic, cherry tomatoes, and thyme, sauté for 4 minutes. Sprinkle flour, salt and pepper, stir to blend for 1 minute. Add soup mix and water, stir and simmer for 1/2 hour covered. Serve with buns or good fresh bread.
