Because Of A Comment On My Blog

This morning when I checked my blog there was a comment from someone who had looked at my toasted cheese and onion sandwich post. After replying to it I realized it had been a while since I had made it for lunch. My original plan for lunch was just to have a bowl of cereal, that got changed. A toasted cheese and onion sandwich is something I really like but only make it rarely. The raw onion makes it clear why I don’t have it often. For some reason the combination just works, at least just for me I thought.

Decided to google the sandwich and was surprised to see lots of different versions of it. Thought for years I was the only one goofy enough to consider it a good thing. Seems there are a lot of people who have the same taste as I do. Was even surprised to find people even turn it into a grilled cheese and onion sandwich, which I have done. Now it makes me wonder if there are people who also make a toasted green onion sandwich or a green pepper sandwich. Will have to post more of the goofy sandwiches I make for myself at lunch.

If you notice in the picture the salt and pepper for my sandwich always goes on the toast. Even when I am just having toast and coffee I always salt and pepper the toast. Will have to google that sometime and see if any other do it. If you think salt and pepper on toast is a really stupid thing I dare you to try it. Buttered toast with salt and pepper is simple just GOOD.

I often make a cheese sandwich for breakfast but not raw onion. Too much for the start of the day.
