Didn’t get to have the hamburgers yesterday somethings kind of got in the way. There was a problem with the condo that I won’t describe because it is a gross subject. So spent from about 10:30 in the morning till 5 pm with some of the board members making sure it didn’t get worse before it got solved. Didn’t feel like making hamburgers so supper was soup and sandwiches. Needed to get the hamburgers made and cooked so my idea of having steak tonight didn’t happen. This recipe for hamburgers is one I make at least once a summer. My wife luckily for me likes it also, but still likes the first recipe better. This I find makes a more flavorful and moister burgers. This will make 6 large patties but could be more. I like my patties to be larger than the bun. No pictures because everyone knows what a hamburger looks like.
3/4 of a pound of ground beef
3/4 of a pound of ground pork
1 beaten egg
2 teaspoons mustard
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 and 1/2 teaspoons liquid smoke
2 tablespoons finely minced onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper, if you use pre-ground pepper use 1/2 teaspoon
3 tablespoons bread crumbs
Mix everything together very wellewell the meat and rest for 15 minutes. Add the meat and mix together extremely well and form into patties. Refrigerate for at least an hour before cooking.
