Croutons

4B070635-B170-4760-ADC8-178124DD73B2I like making my own croutons for salads, there fun to make. The store bought ones I find way to dry. I know recipes for them call for old bread but I like using fresh bread. You get the crispy exterior but still have a soft interior. They are easy to make and you can keep them for 3 or 4 days in the fridge.

3 slices white bread cut in 3/4 inch cubes

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Sprinkle the cubes will everything and mix well. Bake in a preheated 425 oven for about 15 minutes stirring often. Watch them carefully so they don’t burn. Cool completely before using.

Husband made twice baked potatoes in the air fryer. Took 40 minutes until crisp and stuffed it with pork, cheese, and zucchini. Delicious, he doesn’t need a recipe book! I am glad he cooked tonight. Tomorrow is my turn.

  2. I love them 😋 I use to do them too but not in the oven, just simply toss them in a pan 😉 pretty delicious 😋
