Fixing Canned Black Olives

There is a way to make simple canned black olives taste away better, if that’s all you have or can get. Canned olives just have a flat taste, but they are what I grew up having. I usually buy Kalamata olives but for Christmas I use the canned olives. So to fix them  is really simple. Drain them and put in a bowl, add 1 teaspoon olive oil and mix well. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and mix. I do this Christmas Eve and cover them and refrigerate them. They need to be out of the fridge for a couple of hours before you put them on the table. You will be surprised at how much this improves the flavour.
