Corn on the Cob

We had bbqed pork chops and corn on the cob last night. It’s a meal I wait for every summer. One of these years maybe I will learn to wait until the local corn is ready. We are extremely lucky that our corn in Manitoba is probably the best in Canada. All I could get was USA grown peaches and cream corn. It wasn’t very good corn. I know a lot of people think peaches and cream corn is great corn. Personally I find it not very good corn. To me it doesn’t have a strong corn taste and is not even as good as frozen kernel corn. Funny thing is every year I do the same thing, buy it, not be happy and then wait for our local corn.
